Marvel Pinball: Captain America Table Code Giveaway! [Update: Winner Announced]

We here at the site have been huge Marvel Comics fans ever since we were youngins; collecting the latest issues, trading cards, and action figures each weekend. We also happen to fancy an intense game of pinball or two (truth be told, we have lost our fair share of quarters at the arcade). So when Zen Studios announced that they were releasing a Captain America table for Marvel Pinball, we knew we had to put together a giveaway!

That’s right, you can win a code for the Captain America pinball table that was released today on Xbox Live Arcade! Entry to the contest is simple: just leave a comment below and let us know which of the remaining Avengers you think deserves to get his or her own table and why. Alternatively, tell us which summer super hero movie you are most excited for. Feel free to answer both, but only one entry per person. Be sure to comment using your email (or other form of communication) so that we are able to contact you, should you be our lucky winner! The winner will be chosen randomly and notified after the contest ends at 7:59PM EST on June 30th, 2011.

You can view content, queue up demos, and purchase all of the available tables for Marvel Pinball here: http://tinyurl.com/323n7w5.

The largely anticipated film adaptation, Captain America: The First Avenger, will be released in theaters nationwide on July 22nd, 2011.

Update: Thank you for all of the great entries! I sent your ideas over to the fine folks at Zen Studios. We decided to use a random generator app to determine who our winner would be.

Congrats to our very first contest winner, @aznxchunky! Stay tuned for giveaways coming up soon!

  1. I’m going to take a different route then most people and say that Hawkeye should have a table of his own. He was in alot of tie-in comics and the table could feature many other heroes (i.e. Black Widow vs. Daredevil) The table could be based on his beginnings in the carnival or his progression into Goliath.

  2. It has to be Thor doesn’t it? He already has his own movie recently, and hes pretty popular compared to the other avengers that are left. I can’t wait to see Captain America when it comes out.

  3. I’m most excited for the Captain America movie, because I think it actually has the potential to be good, lol. Thor was disappointing, and Green Latern was downright terrible.

    Thank you for the contest!

    • I thought Thor was “good.” It certainly has its flaws (most notably no expansion of the city, limited cast), but I found some things to like in it. Anthony Hopkins was great!

  4. I think the Hulk deserves his own table. Would be cool if they could use the gamma radiation somehow to alter the table or ball on the fly as it mutates temporarily. Hulk is such a bruising hero that his table would be so awesome full of destruction and chaos that would work nice for a fast paced table.

I am most excited to see Captain America: The First Avenger. I’ve been looking forward to that for as long as I can remember. I had no real desire to see X-Men First Class but I’m glad I did get to see it. What a great movie that turned out to be. I thought it would disappoint but it gives me great hope that the X-Men are back!

    • Your Hulk idea sounds great. I am excited to finally go see X-Men First Class… have been hearing nothing but good things about it.

  5. Wolverine definitely deserves his own table design. Just plain cool hero. That and those claws would look amazing integrated into a board.

  6. I’m excited to see Captain America. While I don’t know anything about The Green Lantern (never read the comics), based on a trailer I saw on TV, it just seems completely ridiculous. On the trailer, the guy was able to create anything he could imagine by thinking it. Okay, so why not just imagine the bad guy gone or a black hole inside the guy’s chest then imagine the black hole disappear? Captain America seems like it will have more physical action scenes which are always nice in today’s films.

    • Agreed. Green Lantern looked very far-fetched, and everything I have read about it indicates that it is rather messy. I think Ryan Reynolds is a pretty good actor though (watch Buried if you haven’t seen it yet).

  7. Definitely Thor. He’s the only one that needs to be added, and then in my opinion, the best Avengers are all avaliable as pinball tables.

  8. I would love to actually see a “Avengers” themed Pinball table in general. Throw in some Thor, Hulk, Captain America, Iron Man, Ant Man, and some Wasp. Who knows maybe with the upcoming movie they will get it together.

    • Nice idea. They could use/build upon the animations that they have already implemented into the other tables.

  9. give hulk a table cuz i bet it would be fun with stuff smashing all around and buildings falling apart.

I can’t wait for capt America’s movie to hit .

  10. I’d like to see a Hulk table since he’s one of the original avengers even if it was brief and besides he’s one of the best comic book characters out there.
I can’t wait to see Captain America: First Avenger so I can erase the memory of watching that other Captain America movie way back. 😛

  11. I’d love to see a Hulk table, just so we can experience the effects of gamma radiation. Say you’re going to lose the ball, and perhaps there’s a “charge” level that allows your ball to turn big and green and smash through the obstacles. It would be the first destructible virtual arcade machine (on XBLA, at least).

  12. Thor deserves a pinball table because in addition to fighting the Destroyer armor and Frost Giants, you could also visit all of the 9 realms on his table.

  13. I’d love to see a Hawkeye table or even a full on Avengers table. If they used the current roster then they would have tons of options.

Also can’t wait for Captain America.

  14. i would say hulk.. i mean cmon he would break part of the table and it would light up all green when he gets mad for bonuses it would be awesome! thanks for the chance to win this table im such a fan of captain America and zen studios!!!

  15. hmm if it counts i’m looking forward to spider-man (summer 2012).

of the original trilogy i loved part 2 the most. then idk what the heck happened to part 3. the Symbiote isn’t suppose to make you act like a weirdo disappointing, kinda glad they are rebooting the series. hope it turns out good

    • Works for me! I am a huge fan of the director, Marc Webb. I hope he can put together something as memorable as 500 Days of Summer.

  16. hmm, i’d want a Vision or Ant-man table, both are big favorites of mine. and generally overlooked heroes. and I was waiting for the Green Lantern movie, but now its here 😀

  17. It might be interesting to see a She-Hulk table since she was just in Marvel vs Capcom 3 & it would be cool if they show more about her in it or her origin story. Another idea is a combination table with both Hulk & She-Hulk working together might be cool. Just think about that amount of destructive power in one table.

  18. The Wasp…We need a female superheroine table. The Wasp would make for a vibrant table to add to the mix. She was founding member of the avengers created in 1963, died in 2008, and has been forgotten since. Please give her the rebirth she deserves!!!

  19. Screw regular Hulk, lets get Red Hulk! Actually an Avenger’s table as a whole would be best, followed by an X-Men table. No clue why they went with a Blade table.

  20. I’d have to pick Ant Man, seems pretty cool. Ball could shrink and grow and whatnot.

I’m looking forward to the Captain America movie, I hope it fares better than Green Lantern.

  21. a hulk themed table would be pretty interesting since they have alot to work with (destroying buldings, smashing stuff)

  22. This is very interesting, You are a very skilled blogger. I have joined your feed and look forward to seeking more of your great post. Also, I have shared your website in my social networks!
