SMT: Devil Survivor Overclocked “Eighth Day” Trailer

ATLUS has released a new trailer for their newly released 3DS title Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked. Fans will get a glimpse at what their favorite characters are up to after the main events of Overclocked have ended. The trailer showcases some of the voice work that is spread throughout much of the game’s narrative as well. ATLUS is also pleased to announce that Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked is officially available in stores across North America. $20 3DS Titles

A few weeks ago, Nintendo officially dropped the price for their 3DS handheld to $169.99. From what I have seen (and read), it seems like quite a few consumers took advantage of the lower price point. In an effort to move software, a few retailers are having sales for 3DS games. King of Fighters XIII Character Trailers

Developer/Publisher ATLUS today released nine new character videos for their upcoming PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 title, The King of Fighters XIII. The new videos showcase three characters from each of the three triads in the game; Team Fatal Fury, Team Women Fighters, and Team Japan. Each video gives players a closer look at the character’s special moves, including their NEOMAX super. Team Japan’s Kyo Kusanagi video can be found below, and the rest of the character videos are available on our official YouTube channel.

Fans of the series who preorder The King of Fighters XIII at participating retailers will receive a 4-CD soundtrack compilation that contains music that covers over 15 years of the series’ existence. ATLUS is encouraging gamers to preorder the game as soon as possible, as supplies are limited and they do not want fans to miss out on the opportunity to pick up one of the best collectibles in franchise history.

SMT: Devil Survivor Overclocked “Auction & Fusion” Trailer

Developer/Publisher ATLUS today released a new trailer for their upcoming 3DS title Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked. The trailer provides a closer look at how the game’s auction and fusion features will work. The auction feature has players trying to outbid one another within five seconds, while fusion allows players to combine the elements of two demons, creating unique monsters. With multiple endings, full voice acting, hand drawn art, and an additional eighth chapter, SMT: Devil Survivor Overclocked looks to be a great experience for SMT and 3DS fans alike.

Rock Beats Everything!

Developer/Publisher ATLUS and ACE Team today announced that their latest downloadable title, Rock of Ages, will be available for the Xbox Live Arcade platform on August 31st, while a PlayStation Network and PC date are forthcoming. A new trailer for the game has been released, which reminds us all that rock beats everything, while also paying homage to many classic gaming moments! ATLUS and ACE Team describe Rock of Ages as a “balls-to-the-walls game of tower offense featuring fast-paced strategy, high art, and gigantic boulders.” It looks like a very interesting concept, and I’m loving the destruction aspects showed off in the trailer.

Dead Block Receives DLC

Candygun Games today announced that their Xbox Live Arcade title Dead Block has received its first set of downloadable content (DLC). Dead Block puts players in the shoes of one of four individuals, as they try to eliminate and survive against waves of zombies. The first piece of DLC features four new locales to explore, including: a Motel, a Turkish Bath, an Office building, and a Slaughterhouse. All four new levels are available in both single player and four player offline co-op. The Dead Block DLC is available now on Xbox Live Arcade for 240 Microsoft Points.

345 Games has announced that their latest downloadable venture, Ugly Americans: Apocalypsegeddon, will be available on the PlayStation Network on August 30th, and Xbox Live Arcade on August 31st. The title, based on the popular animated series that airs on Comedy Central, will retail for 800 Microsoft Points ($10 on PSN). Nintendo Expands Wii Budget Titles

Nintendo yesterday announced that they would be expanding the library of “Nintendo Selects” for their Wii home console. “Nintendo Selects” are specially chosen games marked down in price so that they can be enjoyed by the whole family. Beginning on August 28th, gamers will be able to pick up Super Paper Mario, Mario Strikers Charged, Punch-Out!!, and Super Mario Galaxy for the new low price of $19.99. Max Marks the Nintendo DS

Easy Interactive has announced that their hit indie WiiWare/PC game, Max and the Magic Marker, will be making its way to the Nintendo DS this winter. This will allow the game to take advantage of the unique input method that is the DS stylus. More information about the game can be found below.

Max and the Magic Marker tells the story of Max, an adventurous young boy who receives a mysterious marker pen in the mail. Playing around with it, he discovers that whatever he draws comes to life and the stage is set for a classic platform adventure romp. The player controls Max, as well as the magic marker itself, as he hops and jumps through a series of levels using the marker’s fabulous powers to drawing objects directly onto the game world and solving a wide range of problems and puzzles in Max’s efforts to catch the monster he created using his magic marker.
